I wanted a cake that I could double dip two highly contrasting colors with, or to load a 1/2" or 3/4" flat brush with for 1 stroke roses. You can make fast flowers with a lot of pop since you get a lot of white with each load of your brush.

There is more than meets the eye! Check out the image of the girl with the blue hair. All of those petals were made with this cake. If you load up the Dark Blue and White, and then load it again on top of the Berry Wine and White you will get a really nice Purple and White petal. If you load the Blue and White and then load it again over the Red and White you get a much darker purple flower. I chose these particular colors in this order so that I could also load up a 1" brush for a red white and blue Fourth of July cake too , making it an extra bonus. If you would like to see other colors featured in the Flower Maker cakes, please send your ideas to me at anna@jestpaint.com.

The cake is easy to clean up with the swipe of a sponge or a brush.

TIPS FOR USING 50 Gr Cakes:

The large 50 gram cakes can be used in their entirety if you load all of
the colors up on half of a circle sponge.

You can load the flat side of
the sponge, or the rounded side.

If you load on the rounded side you
have more control over how much of the rainbow you want to press against
the skin as you work around the face. You simply rock the sponge and
pat as you move around the face.

If you use the flat side of the sponge
you will get the whole rainbow on the face, unless you pull up one of
the edges of the sponge…which can lead to messy hands.

You can also use your round, flat or filbert brushes to load two or more
colors from the cake, depending on the width of the brush you choose.

You could use half of the cake for a gradient back ground, and the
remaining colors to put flowers, hearts etc. on top, and everything will
match.

You might like trying to load two to three colors and sponge those
coming out in staggered stripes from around the eye, and then filling in
the empty gaps with the other 2-3 colors flipped, so that you have actually
changed the order of the colors in the cake for variety sake.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0055/7275/5574/products/3dbab2813bd1b6949e0b9f24a6f1efe6.jpg?v=1572966798
